Job summary

Villa Casa Casuarina seeks a Hotel Maintenance Engineer to uphold the historic property’s safety, beauty, and functionality. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot systems, and manage work orders to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

This full-time role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Prior maintenance experience or equivalent training is essential to preserve the property’s legacy.

Qualifications

• Previous engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Attention to detail with respect for historic architecture and finishes.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and mechanical systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to protect the historic integrity of the property.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and hotel standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders.
• Assist with special projects, renovations, and inspections as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and mechanical systems
• Conduct preventative maintenance to protect the historic integrity of the property
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and hotel standards
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders
• Assist with special projects, renovations, and inspections as needed

Requirements

• Previous engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required
• Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and reaching, kneeling, stooping, crawling and climbing
• Attention to detail with respect for historic architecture and finishes
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
