Job summary

The Industrialist in downtown Pittsburgh is seeking a Cook with a passion for hospitality to prepare meals for the hotel restaurant and catering functions. You will follow safety guidelines, assist with inventory and ordering, and coordinate with Sales for catering and guest satisfaction.

The role requires at least one year of hospitality or restaurant food service experience, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and professional communication with guests and vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year hospitality or restaurant food service experience required.
• Able to work with little or no supervision.
• Read, write, and verbally communicate effectively with guests and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare various food items and meals for hotel restaurant and catering functions.
• Follow proper food handling and safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and receiving of Food & Beverage items as directed.
• Coordinate with Sales Department for catering reservations and guest satisfaction.
• Monitor quality and presentation, and train kitchen personnel as necessary.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen.
