Job summary

Xclusive Services is hiring a Line Cook for a Denver-area hotel kitchen. You will prepare high-quality menu items for hotel guests, banquets, room service, and restaurant operations, while maintaining safety and timely service in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities include setting up stations, following recipes, adhering to food safety standards, and collaborating with chefs and servers to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Prior cooking or kitchen experience preferred, ideally in hotels, restaurants, or banquets.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and food safety practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, prep lists, and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Food Handler’s certification preferred or required by local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to hotel standards and recipes.
• Set up and stock assigned cooking stations before service.
• Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquet, and room service preparation as needed.
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, portion control, and presentation.
• Communicate with chefs, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure timely order preparation.
• Label, date, rotate, and store food products properly.
• Assist with inventory, prep lists, and receiving deliveries when needed.
• Report equipment issues, shortages, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Support banquet and catering events, including setup, cooking, and breakdown.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Manager.
