Job summary

Marcus Hotels & Resorts, based in Milwaukee, WI, is launching the 12-month Marcus Leadership Development Program (MLDP). This paid, full-time program nurtures leaders by pairing on-property and corporate experiences with seasoned managers and executives.

The program is hosted at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, WI, and prepares participants for leadership roles across hotel departments with placement on completion and relocation opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or have a degree in hotel, restaurant, hospitality, tourism, food & beverage, etc. OR comparable industry experience and training.
• Must be open to relocation for program placement and following completion, should also be open to task force work assignments and opportunities.
• Ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization in a professional manner.
• Possess strong interpersonal, verbal, analytical, and written communication skills.
• Desire to learn and contribute in a team-based environment.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and detail oriented.
• Willing and motivated to learn new skills, tasks, and software systems to meet changing demands of the industry.

Responsibilities

• Follow a structured rotation of assignments throughout the Rooms Division on property to learn and understand the dynamic operations of the hospitality industry.
• Adhere to an established curriculum designed to develop leadership skills, business acumen, and a better understanding of operational standards.
• Participate in management and staff meetings while you collaborate across departments and professional disciplines.
• Develop in depth and regular rapport with guests, associates, and both corporate and property based leadership.
• Opportunities for project work and task force assignments in your assigned and other locations.
