InterContinental The Clement Monterey is seeking a dependable Dishwasher (Kitchen Steward) to join our culinary team on a full-time basis at Cannery Row, Monterey. You will wash, sanitize, and store wares, maintain a clean and safe kitchen, and assist with food preparation as needed.

Qualifications

• Dependable and punctual with high cleanliness standards.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.
• Experience in dishwasher, kitchen, or hotel roles preferred.
• California Food Handler Card preferred.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, and cookware.
• Ensure clean kitchenware is readily available to support daily operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout kitchen areas, equipment, floors, and storage.
• Operate, clean, and maintain dishwashing equipment; report maintenance concerns.
• Properly dispose of garbage, recycling, and food compost.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and communicate replenishment needs.
• Assist with food preparation and special cleaning projects as needed.
• Follow established food safety and workplace safety standards.
• Collaborate with culinary staff and management to support operations.
