Job summary

Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa in Florida is seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to manage day-to-day operations in the F&B support and facilities areas, including boiler operation, equipment maintenance, and safety.

You will work with the engineering team to complete PMs, assist contractors, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and Omni standards. Prior hotel maintenance and emergency response experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years hotel and/or commercial building maintenance.
  • One year of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment experience.
  • Experience responding to emergency situations.
  • Good communication, attention to detail, time management, and guest satisfaction skills.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods; crawl; bend, reach overhead, squat, kneel.
  • Lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and complete equipment PMs.
  • Operate and maintain boiler for the hot water system.
  • Operate and maintain other vessels for hot water kitchen steam and air conditioning systems.
  • Assist mechanics and external contractors with repairs of hotel property and equipment.
  • Repair and maintain commercial kitchen and laundry equipment.
  • Repair and maintain swimming pool and pool equipment.
  • Completion of all assigned work orders and daily tasks.
  • Receive direction for house calls via radio.
  • Understand Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
  • Understand Omni Hotel rules and OSHA regulations.
