Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts in Florida is seeking a diligent Maintenance Technician to support guest rooms and public areas with timely, courteous service. You will perform routine repairs in plumbing, electrical, painting, lighting, and carpentry, while upholding Omni's 4-Star/4-Diamond standards of guest care.

You will coordinate with Engineering and other departments, receive work orders, follow safety procedures, and use hand and power tools to keep hotel facilities in top condition.

Qualifications

• Customer service and problem solving skills required.
• Painting, basic plumbing, basic electrical, minor carpentry, lighting and computer skills.
• Professional business appearance and performance.
• Prior building maintenance experience or relevant technical training.

Responsibilities

• Assist hotel guests with room maintenance issues including plumbing, lighting, electrical, and painting.
• Perform preventative maintenance on guest rooms as assigned.
• Maintain mechanical items in guest rooms and public areas.
• Work as a team to keep back-of-house areas and equipment safe and functional.
• Complete all assigned work orders and daily tasks.
• Follow safety procedures and hotel rules; coordinate with departments as needed.
