Job summary

Qualifications

  • Previous maintenance experience required, hotel experience and training preferred.
  • Minimum of two years hotel and/or commercial building maintenance required.
  • One year of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment experience is required; refrigeration experience a plus.
  • Experience responding to emergency situations is required.
  • Good communication, attention to detail, time management, and guest satisfaction skills are required.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods; ability to crawl for short periods; bend and reach overhead.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Knowledge in electrical systems, low voltage controls, plumbing and gas; experience reading schematics.

  • Operate and maintain boiler and other vessels for hot water and climate systems.
  • Assist mechanics and external contractors with repairs of hotel property and equipment.
  • Repair and maintain commercial kitchen, laundry equipment, and related systems.
  • Repair and maintain swimming pool and pool equipment.
  • Complete all assigned work orders and daily tasks.
  • Receive direction for house calls via radio.
  • Understand Omni fire alarm procedures, other emergencies, and hotel rules.
  • Follow OSHA rules and Omni policies during daily operations.

Job description

Overview:

This team member will manage day-to-day operations in the F&B operation, stewarding departmental processes, budget cost controls, departmental staffing, and inventory controls. Manage and maintain cleanliness in dish rooms, kitchens, bar areas, back docks, maintenance, and proprietary night cleaning in accordance to health department policy and Omni expectations. Also stands in for the Executive Steward in his absence.

Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and complete equipment PMs.
  • Operate and maintain low-pressure boiler for the hot water system.
  • Operate and maintain other vessels as needed for hot water kitchen steam and air conditioning systems.
  • Assist mechanics and external contractors with repairs of hotel property and equipment.
  • Repair and maintain commercial kitchen and laundry equipment.
  • Repair and maintain swimming pool and pool equipment.
  • Completion of all assigned work orders and daily tasks.
  • Receive direction for house calls via radio.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations.
  • Have a thorough understanding of OSHA rules and regulations.

  • The ability to utilize step stools and ladders.
  • Knowledge in electrical systems, low voltage controls, plumbing and gas
  • Experience in reading schematics.
