Job summary

Marcus Hotels & Resorts' Hilton Bloomington location is seeking a Cook to prepare and fastidiously execute all food items per menus while expediting orders accurately. The role requires experience in multiple kitchen stations and the ability to read POS orders.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience required; culinary or apprenticeship program preferred.
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Proficiency in sauté, line, and broiler stations; read orders from a POS system.
• Familiarity with seafood stocks, grilling, sautéing, deep frying, and cold food prep.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food quickly and correctly following all required recipes.
• Store food correctly and use proper rotation and dating standards.
• Determine inventory of food items and requisition from storeroom.
• Maintain high quality level of food production and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of cooking area and personal hygiene.
• Recognize and report over prep to Chef or Sous Chef.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
