Courtyard by Marriott, Portland Convention Center is seeking a skilled cook to prepare and cook menu items in line with CSM brand standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

The role requires 1+ year of cook experience, strong customer service, ServSafe certification or the ability to obtain it, and fluent English. You will handle prep, inventory, sanitation, and teamwork in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

Qualifications

• One or more years of cook experience in a kitchen.
• Demonstrated customer service, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to speak, understand, and write English; ServSafe training or the ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items per menu, recipes, and standards.
• Complete prep work for the day based on occupancy and demand.
• Adhere to cost controls to reduce waste and manage food items.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen and equipment throughout shift.
• Assist with inventory, logs, and health-code paperwork as required.
• Provide courteous service and assist teammates to meet guest needs.
