Job summary

InnVentures in San Diego Rancho Bernardo is seeking a dedicated Cook to craft high-quality menu items and ensure an exceptional dining experience for guests. You will plan, prepare, and present dishes for the restaurant and catered events, while closely monitoring food quality and cost controls.

The position requires your ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and obtain a Food Handler’s Permit.

Qualifications

• Previous food handling or prep/line experience is required.
• Must be able to read, write, type and use basic technology.
• Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Permit.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare various food items and meals for the restaurant and catered functions.
• Oversee food cost and portion control without sacrificing quality.
• Creatively accommodate special requests from guests.
• Ensure food deliveries are timely, accurate and meet presentation standards.
• Assist with quality, cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and kitchen.
• Assist with inventory, ordering and receiving of all food and beverage items.
• Maintain and enforce sanitation and safety standards with anyone entering the kitchen area.
• Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
