Qualifications

• Previous commercial cooking experience required.
• Advanced restaurant, hotel, resort, banquet, or high-volume culinary experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, commercial kitchen equipment, and food preparation methods.
• Ability to read, understand, and execute standardized recipes and production sheets accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, HACCP principles, temperature controls, and proper food handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquet, and special event menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards.
• Set up and organize kitchen station to ensure efficient service.
• Prepare ingredients by chopping, portioning, measuring, and organizing products for daily production.
• Cook a variety of menu items using diverse culinary techniques.
• Monitor food quality, consistency, presentation, and temperatures.
• Maintain food rotation, labeling, storage, cooling, and sanitation procedures.
• Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment and maintain a clean workstation.
• Mentor and support less experienced culinary team members.
• Contribute to reducing waste and controlling food costs while maintaining quality.
