Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Line Cook to prepare food items according to recipes and standards while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen. You will contribute to an elevated guest experience with timely, quality dishes and you must be available for early morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The role requires teamwork, reliability, and the ability to operate and clean kitchen equipment, rotate stock, and follow Crescent procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Team player with a professional appearance.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and handle kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards.
• Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over prepare estimated needs.
• Date all food containers and rotate as per Crescent standards, keeping perishables at proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line setup; assist in keeping buffet stocked.
• Return all food items not used on next shift to designated storage areas, covering and dating perishables.
• Assist in setting up plans to correct any food cost problems, control food waste, loss and usage per Crescent standards.
• Operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat-top grill.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
