Job summary

Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City is seeking a skilled HVACR Technician to join our Engineering team. You will maintain and repair commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and related systems across a large hotel environment, ensuring reliability and guest comfort.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, ability to read schematics, and independent work capability. Flexibility for varied shifts and opportunities to contribute to safety and energy efficiency are offered.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience maintaining commercial HVACR systems in large facilities such as hotels, resorts, healthcare, or commercial properties.
• Hotel engineering experience is preferred.
• Experience with commercial HVAC equipment, refrigeration, kitchen, and laundry equipment, and central plant operations is preferred.
• Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, AHUs, pumps, walk-ins, and related controls.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize reliability and energy efficiency.
• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and mechanical system failures.
• Maintain and repair kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Respond to service calls, equipment failures, guest requests, and emergencies.
• Monitor Building Automation Systems (BAS) and controls.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain records of maintenance and work orders.
• Collaborate with engineering team, contractors, vendors, and hotel leadership.
• Assist with general engineering duties and shift coverage as needed.
