Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott Hammond is seeking a dependable Housekeeping Attendant to keep public areas clean, assist room attendants, and support laundry operations as needed. You will move linens, handle trash, stock closets, and help with deep-cleaning projects to uphold Courtyard brand standards.

This role requires physical stamina, ability to lift 50+ lbs, weekend and holiday availability, and a team-minded, detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, push carts, and lift 50+ lbs throughout shift.
• Reliable attendance and attention to detail.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public areas including lobby, corridors, restrooms, meeting space, fitness area, and exterior walkways.
• Collect, transport, and restock clean linen; bag and deliver dirty linen to laundry.
• Remove trash and recycling from guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house.
• Assist room attendants with room turns, rollaways, cribs, extra bedding, and heavy items.
• Stock housekeeping closets and carts with amenities, chemicals, and supplies.
• Vacuum, mop, dust, and spot-clean public spaces to brand standards.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and lost-and-found items immediately.
• Follow all safety, chemical-handling, and bloodborne-pathogen procedures.
• Support laundry operations as needed (sort, load, fold, or transport).
• Help with deep-cleaning projects, public-area refresh, and special event setups.
• Work as part of the housekeeping team and assist other departments during peaks.

About the Role
