Job summary

Fairfield Inn & Suites Boise West seeks an Assistant Executive Housekeeper to supervise housekeeping and laundry operations while also performing room cleaning as needed. The role blends leadership with hands-on work, including inspections and training to uphold service quality.

You will help manage supplies, budgets, and monthly meetings, while ensuring guest satisfaction and a safe environment for staff and guests alike.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred; supervisory experience also preferred.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations and procedures.
• Knowledge of proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Knowledge of equipment such as vacuums, commercial washers and dryers.
• Proficiently speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language; additional languages helpful.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect daily cleaning of guest rooms and associated areas to ensure quality standards.
• Educate and train employees in hotel standards and provide tools to perform duties.
• Mentor, coach, and give regular feedback to improve performance.
• Handle guest requests, VIPs, and repeat visitors with care and efficiency.
• Track inventory and order supplies monthly/quarterly.
• Assist with cleaning programs and department meetings.
• Coordinate with engineering on maintenance and safety issues.
• Resolve guest complaints regarding service and cleanliness.
• Monitor monthly budget and staffing needs in liaison with the Executive Housekeeper.
• Participate in hands-on housekeeping tasks as needed.
