Job summary

Brandt Hospitality Group in Boise, ID seeks an Assistant Executive Housekeeper to help supervise housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring quality and outstanding guest service. This role blends room inspections, staff supervision, and laundry duties, with occasional cleaning tasks to maintain standards.

The ideal candidate will lead by example, mentor staff, manage inventory, and collaborate with the Executive Housekeeper to uphold property standards and budgets.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations and procedures.
• Knowledge of proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Knowledge of equipment such as vacuums, commercial washers and dryers.
• Proficiently speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.
• Able to prioritize and organize work assignments and delegate responsibilities.
• Demonstrate genuine care for customers and team members.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to input information into a computer.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect daily cleaning of guest rooms, corridors, elevator foyer, and service areas to ensure quality.
• Educate and train employees in hotel standards and provide tools for duties.
• Provide mentoring, coaching and feedback to improve performance.
• Handle special guest needs and requests from VIPs and repeat visitors.
• Assist with tracking inventory and ordering supplies monthly/quarterly.
• Assist with implementing and maintaining cleaning programs.
• Lead monthly department meetings with housekeeping staff.
• Coordinate maintenance issues with engineering to protect assets and safety.
• Resolve guest complaints regarding service and room cleanliness.
• Monitor monthly budget and communicate with the Executive Housekeeper about staffing.
