Job summary

Grandbeach is seeking a skilled Housekeeping Supervisor to assist the Executive Housekeeper in managing the housekeeping department. The role focuses on maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and service, guiding staff to exceed guest expectations, and ensuring hotel standards are met in a friendly, professional manner.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, scheduling, inventory control, and ensuring efficient operations while adhering to safety and hotel policies.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of all matters relating to the proper administration and operation of hospitality housekeeping operations.
• Effective management, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Able to push, stand, stoop, bend, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively during shift.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the smooth, efficient, cost-effective operation of the Housekeeping Department including labor management, inventory control, and the development and maintenance of a positive and supportive work environment and inter/intra departmental relationships.
• Prepares daily work schedule to meet occupancy demands and room turn.
• Analyzes daily room turn and makes staff or procedural adjustments as necessary.
• Makes special work assignments in advance for special events such as meetings, dinners, dances, etc. that may affect the lobby staff.
• Oversees activities of Housekeeping Supervisors and Room Attendants
• Greets and interacts with guests in a friendly and professional manner
