Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a House Attendant to support the Housekeeping Management Team on assigned floors or buildings. You will collect soiled linens, transport to laundry, deliver clean linens to carts, and retrieve trash throughout the hotel, with opportunities to assist with laundry and cleaning of public areas and entrances.

The role may include special projects as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.

Qualifications

• Some previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Background from the extended stay industry preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English is preferred; other languages beneficial.
• Basic reading, writing and mathematical abilities are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on the Sonesta Service standard in all guest interactions according to G.U.E.S.T. standards.
• Assist Room Attendants with heavy items and linen delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of floor closets and corridors; remove trash and tidy surfaces.
• Respond to guest requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Clean public areas, restrooms, storage rooms and other public spaces.
• Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Assist with laundry functions and monitor supplies and equipment.
