Job summary

The Saint Paul Hotel is seeking a maintenance associate to support the engineering team with grounds and building upkeep, routine maintenance, minor repairs, snow and ice removal, and general upkeep of the property.

Under general supervision, you will complete work orders, service hotel vehicles, assist the gardener with outdoor tasks, and help guests as needed. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years related maintenance experience and/or training.
• Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot in electricity, plumbing, HVAC, and building maintenance.
• Have a valid driver’s license and meet company and insurer’s driving requirements.
• Able to work any day, evening, or weekend shifts as scheduled.
• Employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and guest room punch checklists within allotted time frames.
• Cleans and organizes work area and dock daily; safely operates tools and equipment.
• Performs routine inspection and maintenance of hotel vehicles and fluids.
• Assists Gardener with flowers, trees, shrubs, mulch, and outdoor lighting tasks.
• Operates lawn and snow removal equipment and suggests repairs as needed.
• Assists guests and employees, including adjusting room temperatures and moving furnishings.
• Accurately makes keys as requested by hotel management.
• Runs errands and transports items using company vehicles.
• Complies with safety and security regulations and rooftop safety policies.
