Job summary

The City of Saint Paul is seeking a Grounds Crew Leader within the Parks and Recreation Operations Department. You will supervise staff focused on custodial services, event setup, facility maintenance, and fleet care, promoting a safe, welcoming environment for guests and staff year-round.

You will oversee snow removal in winter and routine repairs, coordinating with various city locations and ensuring facilities stay clean, operational, and visually appealing.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Parks Worker III with the City of Saint Paul or 4160 hours of equivalent experience including maintenance of parks grounds and facilities and related tools/equipment.
• CDL with endorsements for tanker and hazardous materials; no airbrakes restriction; endorsement must be obtained within 6 months.
• Non-Commercial Pesticide Applicator's License with categories A & E at time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and coach a team responsible for daily operations of parks and recreation spaces.
• Oversee event setup, tear-down, and facility rentals; supervise custodial duties.
• Maintain cleanliness across buildings and public spaces; ensure safety and accessibility.
