MOXY Phoenix Tempe hotel is seeking a dynamic Captain to lead operations as General Manager. You will drive brand standards, guest experiences, and team culture in Tempe's university area.

This is not a desk job; you will manage all departments, balance financial targets with the Moxy vibe, and act as the public face of the hotel. The role requires 5+ years in hotel leadership, Marriott system familiarity preferred, and a track record of profit growth, staff development, and exceptional guest

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as Hotel General Manager, Captain, or senior hospitality leadership.
• Marriott system experience is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to drive financial performance and guest satisfaction.
• Strong leadership presence with ability to develop and retain staff.
• Deep knowledge of revenue management and sales strategy.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Own the Moxy vision and keep it alive, buzzing, and aligned with ownership goals.
• Build a high-performance crew with accountability and a culture of spirited service.
• Lead by example from the floor with a guest-first, experiential mindset.
• Recruit, mentor, and promote department heads and crew for long-term retention.
• Oversee total hotel operations across Front Desk, Housekeeping, Engineering, F&B, Sales, and Admin.
• Deliver memorable guest experiences and drive strong satisfaction and social engagement.
• Maintain full compliance with Marriott/Moxy brand standards, safety rules, and procedures.
