Job summary

Highgate is seeking a General Manager to drive profitability for a Select Service hotel in Salem, Oregon. The GM will supervise department heads, manage revenue generation, control costs, and develop employees to uphold Highgate standards.

The role requires leading sales efforts, conducting regular meetings, and ensuring adherence to financial and operational SOPs while maintaining guest satisfaction and hotel integrity.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations by department heads and adjust as needed.
• Lead weekly trainings and review sales and operations efforts.
• Ensure budgeted productivity levels and proper financial accounting.
• Develop managers through competency training and corporate programs.
• Conduct daily/weekly meetings focused on prospecting and account activity.
• Participate in hotel sales efforts, client meetings and events.
• Supervise MOD coverage and staff development.
• Adhere to company policies and training standards.
• Oversee budgeting and monthly financial processes.
• Maintain guest satisfaction and high service standards.
