POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY


Responsible for the overall success of the hotel, ensuring guest satisfaction targets and managing the overall customer experience. This role includes achieving positive associate satisfaction, meeting financial goals, and upholding the property's reputation while maintaining company brand standards. Additionally, this role provides leadership to the property associates, ensuring that the hotel is viewed as an exceptional workplace.

MAJOR / KEY JOB DUTIES


  • Demonstrates and promotes 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests
  • Ensures all guest-related issues are resolved in line with company goals
  • Ensures rooms are Guest Ready, adhering to cleanliness standards; maintains public areas; completes Green Shield program on schedule
  • Performs daily room and Guest Ready inspections
  • Manages ESA Brand Standards and pursues continuous improvement
  • Follows proper recruiting, interviewing, screening, and hiring procedures
  • Onboards and trains new associates, including Best Day Ever and Extended Stay University courses
  • Drives a positive work environment through teamwork, leading by example with energy, enthusiasm, and recognition
  • Partners with District Manager to optimize associate performance, including coaching and enforcing policies
  • Conducts daily team meetings to communicate updates and hotel needs
  • Provides team members with necessary tools and supplies
  • Maintains appropriate PAR levels, manages purchases within budget and approved vendors
  • Manages room occupancy to keep guest rooms in service
  • Controls labor expenses by approving daily punches and monitoring productivity reports
  • Handles cash management and ensures timely collection of guest balances
  • Achieves quality lead generation quotas through various market and lead management activities
  • Upholds ESA standards and policy compliance
  • Ensures bank deposits are completed per policy
  • Performs competitive surveillance (Sales Drive Bys)

OTHER DUTIES

  • Reviews in-house rates
  • Adheres to employment laws and regulations
  • Performs duties across hotel operations as needed
  • Manages an Assistant General Manager / Team Leader
  • Monitors guest experience and social media to address issues promptly

Compensation

Pay ranges vary by location and experience. For Colorado, Washington, California: $53,000 - $76,000 annually. For New York City: $57,000 - $87,000 annually. ESA Management, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

At least three years of related hospitality management experience; customer experience required. Valid driver's license and successful motor vehicle check required.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

2-year degree preferred; basic computer skills; ability to manage multiple projects; bilingual in Spanish beneficial.


ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Work may involve outdoor conditions, exposure to mechanical parts, chemicals, and travel. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES

Proficiency in English; effective communication; ability to manage staff and projects; conversational Spanish preferred.
