Job summary

Hyatt is seeking a General Maintenance Engineer to perform routine upkeep across guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The role requires hands-on work with tools, painting, plumbing, and electrical tasks while maintaining detailed logs.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance for rooms and pools, equipment repairs, and assisting with logistics using forklifts. Candidates should demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a guest-first attitude.

Qualifications

• Good customer service and the ability to use hand tools and power tools are required.
• Must have open availability, to include nights, weekends, holidays.
• Must be able to work without direct supervision and be able to multi-task.
• Must communicate effectively with guests & fellow team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance duties including painting, drain cleaning, plumbing fixture repair and changing light bulbs.
• Provide preventive maintenance to guest rooms, public areas, pools and select equipment; update/maintain logs.
• Repair mechanical, electrical, and kitchen equipment.
• Operate forklifts to check in, distribute and store incoming products and guest packages.
