Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Staff Accountant for its Frisco, TX location. The role supports nightly verification, AP/AR processing, and general ledger reconciliations to uphold financial integrity and compliance.

Ideal candidates will have GAAP knowledge, experience with AP/AR and reconciliations, and excellent attention to detail. Hospitality accounting experience is a plus, with a Bachelor’s in Accounting preferred.

Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of GAAP and financial management practices, ideally in hospitality or asset-focused environments.
• Experience processing financial transactions including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and logging financial data.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail; ability to compile facts accurately and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Financial verification and reporting support, including night audit reconciliation, banquet coding, and General Cashier Summary input.
• Accounts receivable: post city ledger payments, reconcile and bill city ledger accounts, and perform follow-up billing and credit collection documentation.
• Accounts payable: verify purchasing procedures, route invoices for approval, code correctly, and process payments.
• Reconcile credit card backups to the General Cashier Summary and maintain logs for all cards; record General Ledger and City Ledger reconciliations.
• Support compliance and daily financial operations for the Controller and team.
