Job summary

Miraval Austin Resort and Spa, part of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, seeks a Director of Hotel Financial Operations to lead finance and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial support for a luxury well-being destination.

In this role, you will oversee budgeting, forecasting, audit coordination, and partner with hotel leadership to optimize profitability while upholding Hyatt standards and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Hospitality or Accounting degree preferred
• 2 years or more of progressive Accounting experience, preferably in a hotel
• Experience supervising Accounting staff members
• Advanced user of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
• Flexible schedule; may occasionally be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays

Responsibilities

• Lead the hotel’s financial reporting and accounting functions, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely information
• Direct the monthly financial close, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial statement preparation
• Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with Hyatt standards
• Review financial results, investigate variances, and provide analysis on hotel performance
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll accounting, and cash management
• Oversee financial systems administration, inventory accounting, and process improvements
• Lead the annual operating budgets, forecasts, and financial projections
• Partner with department leaders to manage expenses and identify revenue opportunities
• Coordinate annual financial audit and respond to auditor requests
• Provide financial insights to support decision-making and profitability initiatives
• Lead Purchasing and Receiving with adherence to procurement policies
