Job summary

Revere Hotel Boston Common is seeking a Night Audit/Assistant Controller to direct the hotel's financial activities, safeguard assets, and prepare reports in accordance with GAAP. The role focuses on accuracy in night audit work, revenue posting, and timely financial data for management.

Candidates should have an accounting background, preferably a Bachelor's in Accounting, and experience in hospitality. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred.
• Experience in accounting and hotel operations preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to compile facts and figures.
• Proficient with PCs and calculators; good communication skills.
• Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Sort and verify accuracy of Night Audit work, including reconciliation of banquet checks.
• Post city ledger payments and reconcile accounts in the property management system.
• Reconcile credit card backups and bill out cards.
• Assist Controller with financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
• Process and pay invoices, maintain purchase orders and vendor records.
• Maintain logs, comply with attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
