Job summary

Baywood hotel seeks a hands-on Facilities Technician to keep guest rooms, meeting spaces, and restaurant areas in top condition. You will perform repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance while maintaining logs and coordinating with management.

The role covers electrical, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC-related tasks, and requires ensuring safety standards and codes are met. Prior hotel maintenance experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred; technical training is a plus.
• Experience in hotel maintenance or related field preferred; on-the-job training acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the hotel structure including guest rooms, meeting spaces, and restaurant areas.
• Perform safety checks, inspections, and report discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain boilers, electrical equipment, lifting gear, and power distribution systems.
• Carry out minor repairs of fans, air-conditioning, plumbing, and general mechanical systems.
• Complete maintenance logs and update the tracking system.
• Assist in preventive maintenance programs and coordinate with inspectors to ensure code compliance.
