Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a skilled hotel maintenance technician to keep the Westin Riverwalk in top condition. You will maintain building systems, perform preventative maintenance, and address routine repairs to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.

The role involves working with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry trades, responding to guest and staff requests, and contributing to energy efficiency initiatives in a luxury hotel setting along the San Antonio River Walk.

Qualifications

• Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in building related trades.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Climbing, reading, standing, walking, and routinely lifting 25 lbs. to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete report work orders.
• Perform preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis (e.g., room care).
• Assist in checking electrical systems and performing minor repairs.
• Assist in routine repairs and major repairs of hotel equipment.
• Service the hotel's pool and maintain chemicals and logs.
• Maintain exterior and curb appeal of the building.
