Job summary

Melrosehoteldc is seeking a Maintenance Technician for DoubleTree Phoenix Midtown to ensure reliable operation of building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, quick troubleshooting, and safety best practices in a hotel environment.

The successful candidate will have hotel engineering experience, relevant certifications or training, ability to read blueprints, strong communication, and a proactive work ethic.

Qualifications

• Hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general building construction.
• Vocational training or associate's degree or apprenticeship in one or more area; state licensure where required.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings and technical parts breakdown.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Operate central HVAC and mechanical equipment using approved procedures.
• Repair and maintain hotel kitchen, laundry, refrigeration, boilers, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic problems and fix quickly.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on an ongoing basis.
