Job summary

DoubleTree Phoenix Midtown in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Technician to operate and maintain hotel central HVAC and mechanical systems, ensuring safety and efficiency in a fast-paced property.

You will repair kitchen, laundry, refrigeration, boilers and plumbing, read blueprints and perform preventive maintenance with a focus on reliability and guest comfort.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen and general building construction.
• Vocational training or certification in one or more area; state licensure where required.
• Understand and efficiently maintain and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and boiler systems.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings and technical parts breakdown.

Location Description

In the financial district, we're only four miles from downtown and the Biltmore Fashion Park. What you will be doing

• Efficiently and safely operate central HVAC equipment and mechanical equipment using sound engineering practices and specified corporate operating procedures.
• Accurately and efficiently repair and maintain food production and related kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, ice machines and refrigeration systems, boilers and plumbing systems and all electrical and natural gas distribution systems.
• Trouble-shoot electrical and pneumatic problems and repair them as quickly and economically as possible.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on an on-going basis.

Requirements

What we are looking for

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items.
