Job summary

Sherato is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead the hotel’s engineering and maintenance team, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and building systems operate at the highest standard.

In this hands-on leadership role you will supervise daily tasks, coordinate preventive maintenance, mentor technicians, and collaborate with hotel leadership to deliver reliable service and safe, comfortable experiences for guests.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, engineering, or facilities experience required; hotel or hospitality experience strongly preferred.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and PTAC systems.
• Knowledge of fire protection and life‑safety systems is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple work orders and effectively coordinate a team.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, support, and provide direction to engineering and maintenance team members.
• Assist the Chief Engineer with daily assignments, scheduling, and prioritizing maintenance requests.
• Perform and oversee general maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel.
• Respond to guest room and public‑area work orders and service calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building‑system issues and determine appropriate repairs.
• Perform and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance programs.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, mechanical spaces, and building systems to identify maintenance needs.
• Assist with maintaining HVAC systems, PTAC units, plumbing, electrical systems, drywall, painting, doors, locks, and other hotel equipment.
