Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a hands-on Hotel Engineering Supervisor in Los Angeles to keep the property in top operating order, oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems, and lead a dedicated maintenance team.

You will perform walk-throughs, manage preventive maintenance for rooms and public areas, coordinate with management and the General Manager, hire and train staff, and enforce safety policies to ensure a smooth guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel engineering including HVAC, electrical, plumbing.
• State certification or licensure where required.
• Ability to read drawings, diagrams and blueprints.
• Strong verbal and written business communication.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Team-oriented and guest experience focused.

Responsibilities

• Ensure hotel engineering maintains operational standards.
• Conduct walk-throughs and maintenance assessments.
• Manage preventive maintenance for rooms and public areas.
• Coordinate with management and the General Manager.
• Hire, train, supervise, coach associates.
• Maintain grounds to support guest arrival experience.
• Implement safety policies and OSHA HazCom procedures.
