Job summary

Hotel Paseo, Autograph Collection, part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, is seeking an Engineering Supervisor in Palm Desert to oversee building operations and lead the engineering team, ensuring safety, reliability, and exceptional guest experiences in a boutique luxury setting.

You will supervise daily activities, coordinate maintenance projects, engage with guests and vendors, and uphold brand and service standards while maintaining high-quality facilities and equipment throughout the property.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Must read and interpret Blueprints/Schematics, Procedure manuals, OSHA standards like LockOut/TagOut, SDS, etc.
• Strong technical expertise in operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems (HVAC, electrical, pools, life-safety).
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair and maintain building systems and use hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Director of Engineering to oversee all building operations (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, aquatic facilities, PM programs).
• Supervise, direct, and inspect Engineers/maintenance team daily for productivity and quality.
• Coordinate and roll out projects as directed; interact with guests, contractors, vendors as needed.
• Maintain brand standards and service levels; conduct regular inspections of public areas and back-of-house spaces.
• Perform day-to-day maintenance tasks and preventive maintenance projects as assigned.
