Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners, LLC is seeking an on-site Maintenance Engineer to respond to guest requests and keep hotel systems running safely and efficiently. You will perform preventive maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler and related equipment, while ensuring a clean, safe engineering space and timely reporting of readings and issues.

Two years of building maintenance experience is required, with a high school diploma or trade school background.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school is a plus.
• Two years of building maintenance experience.
• Ability to repair HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment.
• Ability to communicate information to management and staff.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests in a courteous, efficient, and safe manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance and necessary repairs on hotel equipment (kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical, guest rooms).
• Take water samples of boiler, loop, and cooling tower systems and treat the water to maintain chemical concentrations.
• Operate equipment; monitor hot/cold water systems and electrical switch gears.
• Maintain cleanliness and general maintenance in engineering spaces and other daily operations.
• Make rounds to ensure everything is in working order.
• Complete maintenance requests, take equipment readings, and maintain logs.
• Respond to emergencies including fire alarms, bomb threats, disasters and power failures.
