Job summary

Valor is seeking a hands-on Engineering/Facilities professional to respond to guest requests and keep hotel equipment running safely and efficiently. You will perform preventative maintenance across HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, take water samples, and manage logbooks for shift handoffs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of building maintenance experience.
Ability to maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing equipment and perform carpentry and renovations.

Responsibilities

Respond to guest requests in a courteous, safe manner.
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment (kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical, guest rooms).
Take water samples of boiler systems and monitor chemical levels.
Operate equipment and maintain domestic hot/cold water systems, monitor electrical switchgear.
Maintain maintenance spaces and complete work orders for the next shift.
Respond to emergencies (fire alarms, power failures) and assist with parking lot/snow removal as needed.
