Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts seeks a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee hotel-wide mechanical and electrical systems, ensure preventative maintenance programs, and supervise maintenance staff. You will coordinate with department heads, respond to guest issues, and uphold Crescent’s safety and quality standards.

Based in Baltimore, MD, the role reports to the General Manager and participates in the annual capital plan and energy efficiency initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, train, evaluate performance, resolve problems, communicate openly, and enforce discipline when needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, and other hotel mechanical/electrical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis.
• Respond to guest questions, complaints, and requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Coordinate with department heads to address maintenance needs and ensure timely responses.
• Service the hotel pool and manage chemical levels and filters; document maintenance requests and logs.
• Maintain exterior areas and curb appeal (snow removal, lawn care, painting, gardening).
• Adhere to franchise standards and address inspection deficiencies.
• Coordinate service contracts and oversee Crescent's preventative maintenance programs and room care initiatives.
• Assist General Manager with capital planning and participate in Safety/Energy initiatives.
