Job summary

Thind Management, a family-owned hospitality company, seeks a proactive Chief Engineer to lead the hotel’s maintenance program and ensure reliable operation of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. You will supervise a maintenance team, enforce safety standards, and coordinate with other departments to deliver a safe guest experience.

The ideal candidate has supervisory experience in hospitality, strong knowledge of building systems, and a commitment to training and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; licensure preferred.
• Several years of supervisory experience in hotel or hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and uphold brand standards.
• Develop and implement a maintenance program for hotel systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Manage and train maintenance staff.
• Oversee MEP systems operation and safety equipment.
• Develop budget for maintenance department and monitor expenses.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and safety policies.
• Plan major renovations or construction projects.
• Collaborate with other departments to minimize disruptions.
• Provide technical guidance to other departments.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are stored properly.
