Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in Miami Beach is seeking an Engineering Manager to supervise the building's equipment, preventive maintenance, and life safety systems in coordination with Security. You will assist in recruitment, training, scheduling, and payroll for all Engineering team members.

Lead vendor relations, ensure compliance with brand standards and laws, supervise day-to-day operations, and help maintain a safe, guest-focused property that reflects Kimpton's distinctive culture.

Qualifications

• Fire Safety Director Certification required.
• 2+ years related experience as an Engineering Supervisor at a full-service hotel.
• Prior experience with building maintenance systems and processes required, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
• Previous experience in Security, Life Safety or Loss Prevention preferred.
• Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance of the building, rooms, fixtures, all property equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems.
• Assists in developing and implementing plans to maintain property, equipment, grounds in good working order.
• With the Director of Engineering, ensures the hotel follows all local, state and federal laws.
• Conduct daily supervision of your team to ensure training, brand standards, and timely service.
