Job summary

Loews Miami Beach Hotel is seeking a proactive Engineering Supervisor to lead the engineering team, oversee daily operations, and ensure safety and high-quality maintenance across all property systems. The role focuses on preventive maintenance programs, staff coaching, energy monitoring, ADA compliance, and collaboration with other departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in hospitality.
• Post-secondary education in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical discipline.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven hands-on experience with Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Refrigeration, and Life Safety systems.
• Experience in training, coaching, and evaluating employee performance.
• Familiarity with HotSoS or other CMMS systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and preventative maintenance processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the engineering team.
• Assign work orders and monitor completion for quality.
• Address maintenance-related guest concerns with department heads.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs to meet safety standards.
• Train, coach, and evaluate engineering staff.
• Ensure ADA compliance and maintain inspection checklists.
• Monitor energy consumption and optimize efficiency.
• Manage equipment and supply inventory.
• Conduct periodic asset inspections to meet standards.
• Coordinate with Security on locking systems and sensitive equipment.
• Attend departmental and hotel-wide meetings to align goals.
• Maintain OSHA safety procedures and protocols.
