Job summary

Midas Hospitality is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the Engineering department, ensuring safety, functionality, and presentation of the hotel property. This leadership role manages preventative maintenance, oversees building systems, and develops engineering staff while protecting assets.

The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge with strong leadership, aiming to maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for guests and associates.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience in hotel engineering or facilities maintenance.
• Experience leading maintenance teams preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
• Experience managing preventative maintenance programs and budgets.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Engineering associates while promoting safety and teamwork.
• Oversee daily operations of the Engineering department and PM schedules.
• Develop short- and long-term maintenance plans to protect hotel assets.
• Oversee life safety systems and compliance with brand, company standards.
• Respond to maintenance requests to maximize guest satisfaction and room availability.
• Manage vendor relationships and outside contractors.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment documentation.
