Job summary

Midas Hospitality is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the Engineering department and ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of our hotel property.

This leadership role oversees preventative maintenance programs, building systems, and budget adherence while developing engineering associates and protecting hotel assets. A hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge and guest-focused service will thrive in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel engineering, facilities maintenance, building operations, or a related skilled trade.
• Leadership or supervisory experience managing maintenance teams preferred.
• Technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Experience managing preventative maintenance programs, departmental budgets, and capital improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, coach, and develop Engineering associates while promoting safety and teamwork.
• Manage daily Engineering operations, schedules, and priorities.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term maintenance plans to protect assets.
• Oversee maintenance of guest rooms, public spaces, and life safety systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly to maximize guest satisfaction and room availability.
