Job summary

Peregrine Hospitality is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee all engineering and maintenance operations for our facility. This role directs a team to ensure safe, reliable, and comfortable environments for guests and staff, while driving financial performance of the department.

Responsibilities include leading PM programs, overseeing renovations and major projects, managing vendor relationships, and developing training to maintain high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ yrs of experience as a Director or Engineering Manager in hotel or multi-unit setting.
• Strong knowledge of Preventive Maintenance programs.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and sourcing project bids.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Certifications are a plus, but not required.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to apply them in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring reliability, safety, and comfort of staff and guests.
• Manage and execute the Preventive Maintenance Program for all hotel systems.
• Oversee hotel renovation, capital construction, and major maintenance projects, ensuring quality and schedule.
• Develop, coordinate, and monitor maintenance programs and standards for guest rooms, public spaces, equipment, and safety systems.
• Establish vendor relationships and ensure quality, timely delivery, and warranty compliance.
• Direct departmental training programs and onboarding; ensure adherence to safety standards.
