Job summary

Peregrine TH Management, LLC seeks a Chief Engineer to lead maintenance and safety operations at our Los Gatos hotel. This hands-on leadership role combines repairs with oversight of building systems, vendors, and compliance to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

The Chief Engineer will oversee preventive maintenance, manage service contracts, respond to emergencies, and supervise the engineering team while supporting capital projects and life-safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hotel or facilities maintenance experience, with supervision preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Hands-on repair and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance needs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance across guestrooms and public spaces.
• Maintain and monitor building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety.
• Manage service contracts and coordinate vendors.
• Maintain maintenance logs and compliance records.
• Support capital projects and room turns as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and after-hours coverage.
