Job summary

OTO Development is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to own maintenance operations at our Mount Pleasant property. The role emphasizes proactive problem identification, preventative maintenance programs, and strong communication with hotel leadership, teams, and outside vendors.

Leading a Buildings Maintenance team, you will oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting projects, manage third-party contractors, respond to emergencies, and maintain safety and professional

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years as Building Maintenance Tech/Engineer, or 4–5 years in a related field.
Currently supervise at least one subordinate.
Proficient with hand tools and maintenance duties.
Strong time management to meet established parameters.
Customer-service focus with guest-need anticipation.

Responsibilities

Respond to guest requests promptly and provide great guest service.
Perform preventative maintenance duties as needed.
Lead a team of technicians to complete tasks via the Computerized Maintenance Management System (QUORE).
Perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting projects.
Oversee all 3rd party outside contractors.
Respond to emergencies promptly.
Maintain a professional appearance.
Complete other duties as assigned.
