Job summary

OTO Development is seeking a highly experienced Chief Engineer for our Mount Pleasant property to own maintenance operations, lead a team, and engage with hotel leadership and vendors. The ideal candidate proactively identifies issues, manages preventive maintenance, and ensures safety and guest comfort while coordinating with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance teams in hospitality or similar environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with minimal supervision.
• Proven track record in preventive maintenance planning and execution.
• Strong communication with hotel leadership, staff, and vendors.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations for the property.
• Lead and develop Building Maintenance Tech staff including scheduling and task assignment.
• Coordinate HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting projects.
• Manage external contractors and ensure timely, quality work.
• Respond to guest service requests and maintenance emergencies.
• Maintain professional appearance and uphold safety standards.
