Job summary

Golder Hospitality seeks a Chief Engineer to oversee daily operations of the Engineering department and maintain the hotel's physical structure, HVAC systems and related equipment. You will ensure energy conservation and lead the department with decisive budget and staffing actions.

The role requires five years in hotel maintenance/engineering with two years in a supervisory capacity, plus proficiency in electrical, HVAC, plumbing and related trades.

Qualifications

• Five-year hotel maintenance/engineering experience with two years of management.
• Proficiency in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, locksmithing, refrigeration, chillers and carpentry.
• Ability to plan and organize projects cost-effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assigns and verifies the completion of all routine maintenance.
• Prepares annual operating budget for the Engineering Department.
• Monitors the department expenses on a regular basis.
• Conducts asset tours and assesses safe operation of the hotel facilities and equipment.
• Assists in interviewing potential engineering candidates.
• Trains, schedules and reviews hours for the engineering department.
