Job summary

Four Seasons Jacksonville seeks a Director of Engineering to lead the hotel’s engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring life/safety compliance, energy initiatives, and high-quality facilities management. The role reports to the executive leadership team and oversees plumbing, HVAC, electrical, ground care, and related teams.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in a Director of Engineering role and 5 years of hotel/building engineering management, plus relevant credentials or certifications.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent certifications.
• Five years of management experience in hotel or building engineering maintenance.
• Experience managing a complex with multiple business units preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering and maintenance operations for interior/exterior facilities.
• Manage Life/Fire safety systems and energy initiatives.
• Ensure life, fire, safety equipment up to standard during construction phases.
• Maintain documents, permits, and manuals for engineering projects.
• Perform quality control checks on mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems.
