Job summary

Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa seeks Director of Engineering Services to lead all engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across the property.

Reporting to Director of Operations, you will manage preventive maintenance, capital projects, budgeting, and compliance, while coaching and supervising the engineering team.

This role champions Omni culture and requires HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing credentials, strong leadership, and guest-focused service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hospitality engineering experience.
• HVAC/electrical/plumbing certifications; EPA/CPO required.
• Strong leadership, organizational and guest-relations skills.
• Experience managing maintenance programs and capital projects.
• Knowledge of safety codes and life-safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee R&M and utility expenses and budgeting.
• Lead maintenance and preventative maintenance programs for public spaces, guestrooms, equipment.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure safety and compliance.
• Recruit and train engineering staff; manage disciplinary actions.
• Plan capital projects; oversee bids and contractors.
• Ensure external vendors perform work on time.
• Maintain permits and licenses.
• Schedule, supervise, and payroll for engineering team.
• Ensure safety policies and confidentiality of assets.
